Ngorli C.I.C Social Services

The vitality of any community lies not only in its economic prosperity or alluring attractions, but also in
its people and their ethos of generosity and service towards the less fortunate. As the leading provider
of social services in the Watford community, we offer assistance that empowers and hope that endures.

Our services, all conveniently housed in the office behind our charity shop, cater to a range of needs.
Walk-in services are available, and appointments can be arranged according to individual requirements.

Food Bank and Hygiene Product Distribution: We provide dry food supplies to individuals and families
in need, without regard to gender, race, or social status. Additionally, hygiene products such as sanitary
towels and bathing soaps are distributed to those in need.

Signposting: We guide community members to the services they require but may not know how to
access. Through collaboration with other organisations and service providers, we aim to fulfil our shared
objective of supporting the community. Examples of such services include housing assistance, NHS
support, access to women’s centres, and advice from the Citizens Advice Bureau, among others.

Letter Reading: For individuals who are unable to read or comprehend written communications, we
offer a letter reading service. Our volunteers read and explain emails and letters, assisting individuals in
composing replies. This also provides an opportunity to introduce the Shannon Trust literacy
programme to help improve their reading skills.

General Support for Adults and Young Adults: Through our activities and charity shop, we provide
support to individuals, enabling them to volunteer and gain valuable experience while managing their
mental wellbeing.
